Guaca-Santander 

Guaca es conocida como la puerta de oro de García Rovira,este pueblo intenta demostrar sus riquezas sus tradiciones culturales artísticas, artesanales, y agrícolas, se considera como uno de los lugares mas hermosos del país y de el departamento de Santander.

La palabra "Guaca"  provienes de la voz indígena y significa monte o cerro, y "junca" que significa bajo es decir que es situada al pie abajo del cerro que significa tesoro escondido o enterrado. e los indígenas fueron interrumpidos por la llegada de los conquistadores europeos al igual que el continente Americano

Guaca fue descubierta  por el alemán Ambroshio anfinget quien fue contratado por los banqueros bartolome y antonino guester. en 1550 Forsua  salio de Pamplona hacia Bogota y dejo como teniente a Ortum Velasquez quien fue nombrado como gobernador y como gratificación el rey de España le otorgo el titulo de la encomienda de Guaca. Guaca esta a 87 kilómetros de la ciudad de Bucaramanga, guaca limita con el municipio de sanandres, cepita, piedecuesta, santa barbara y Norte de Santander

La bandera de Guaca esta conformada por el color blanco que representa la vegetación que se respira en aquel lugar, amarillo que representa el haz de la luz de todos los hogares que iluminan el camino y verde que representa la esperanza y el noble deseo de sobreponernos a los problemas que se no oponen..Guaca se dedica principalmente al sector agrícola su mejor manejo es el cultivo de papa, el frijol, el mais y cebolla.

Guaca ha pasado por épocas muy difíciles como la toma guerrillera la cual daño a este pueblo dejando tristeza y soledad en las personas que perdieron sus seres queridos durante este ataque pero durante el tiempo ah mejorado mucho y reponiendo poco a poco cada una de las cosas destruidas.
